As an artist, designer, and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience running thriving creative companies, I decided to pull all these skills together and start a new company doing what I love—art and inspiring creativity.

I create educational, artistic coloring books for kids and adults in my company, Nikki August. My goal is to create artwork and products that encourage curiosity and spark creativity to inspire kids and adults to imagine their potential. In January 2016, we launched the 2016 awareness advertising campaign for QueensCare Health Centers. This new series of ads, in both English and Spanish, can be seen on the bus and train lines and bus shelters—throughout the Los Angeles area.

This series positions QHC as THE health resource in their East Los Angeles community. The campaign use humor and visual puns to grab the viewer’s attention while reinforcing QHC as a health resource.

A successful logo creates that great "first impression" while telling your customers who you are. We take the time to learn about you, your business, purpose, vision, and audience, so we can create a logo and identity project that is authentic to you.

Over the years, we have created the nameplate and design development for various publications. We have worked with 805Living from the very start for over ten years, designing their monthly regional lifestyle magazine.

In 2015 we created the nameplate and design development for a new interactive digital magazine called Three.

For the Chumash tribe in Santa Ynez, we re-designed their Samala magazine, creating a new nameplate and layout.

QueensCare Family Clinics recently changed its name to QueensCare Health Centers. We were tasked with creating a new look and brand style while communicating their vision and purpose. 

We carried the new brand and message through all touch points of the organization, including Identity/logo design, message, voice, tag lines, signage, advertising, social and marketing materials, and internal communications. We created their first-ever advertising campaign. See more.

After launching a re-messaging for QueensCare Health Centers, we created their first-ever awareness ad campaign that ran throughout 2015.

We produced a series of transit ads, in both English and Spanish, for the bus and rail systems and billboards—all visible throughout the Los Angeles area.

QueensCare Health Centers offers a wide array of services, from prenatal care to senior health; each ad focuses on a distinct area of specialization and targets a specific demographic. All of the ads underscore QueensCare Health Centers’ mission of providing quality, primary healthcare that is accessible to any patient in need in the communities they serve, regardless of ability to pay. 

A well-designed annual report can help non-profits communicate their accomplishments and future goals as well as reach new donors. 

In 2015 we celebrated the opening of their new health center in East Los Angeles. Not only are the Health Centers part of the Los Angeles community, but they are also growing and expanding their reach to help more of those in need.

Along with the QueensCare Health Centers, we have produced annuals for QueensCare, (a healthcare charitable organization). We have highlighted their programs through stories about the families and individuals QueensCare serves, introduced the people who do the work and care, and focused on the community QueensCare invests in and is a part of.
